EnCore Pilates owner and instructor, Shannon Nicolette, a former dancer, volleyball player, and runner, is also an accomplished Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist specializing in Pilates-based sports fitness as well as functional exercise training based on the teachings of physical therapy's "Father of Function," Gary Gray, PT. She has worked with both the highly regarded Houston Ballet and locally with Outpatient Physical Therapy at Shands Hospital and the University of Florida's Student Health Care Center. Through EnCore Pilates she instructs clients in Pilates and Functional Fitness with personalized private sessions and in classes. She is a GOLD-Certified Pilates Teacher (CPT) through the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), is a STOTT PILATES® Rehab Instructor Trainer and holds an ADVANCED Pilates Certification through STOTT PILATES®.

Jenna's commitment and passion for teaching Pilates is a result of her lifelong focus on physical fitness, and a personal triumph over injury through the practice of Pilates at EnCore Pilates. In addition to raising four great children, her focus is on the in-depth study and training in STOTT PILATES® Reformer and Mat at EnCore Pilates. Her future training plans include STOTT PILATES® Cadillac Chair and Barrels and her ultimate goal is to assist and inspire clients in pursuing their fitness potential to the fullest through Pilates.

Joanna Vajda

Yoga Instructor

Joanna has been a student of yoga since 1971 when she took her first class here in Gainesville, Florida. Many teachers and life experiences later, Joanna became a certified yoga teacher through the Discovery Yoga Program in St. Augustine, Florida in 2002. Joanna works as a registered nurse at North Florida Regional Medical Center in labor and delivery, teaches yoga, and hopes to imbue her classes with the joy and love she feels for yoga!
